Day 2: Wisdom [Washing Machine] to Wealth [Clean Clothes]

Section 1 of 4: The Stillness Meditation

These thoughts were received during The Stillness Meditation.

1. Wisdom and Wealth.
2. Washing machine.
3. Your washing machine needs water and detergent to clean clothes properly.
4. The washing machine has the wisdom to clean your clothes with the proper amount of water and detergent in the machine.
5. You are to supply the clothes and detergent, and the machine knows how to merge the detergent and water for a positive outcome—clean clothes.
6. Wisdom = washing machine.
7. Wealth = clean clothes.
8. The wisdom represents the washing machine.
9. The clean clothes represent wealth.
10. The washing machine [wisdom] knows how to do the job of washing clothes.
11. Your job is to put the clothes and detergent in the washing machine and allow the washing machine to do its job.
12. The washing machine output is clean clothes [wealth].
13. Let wisdom [washing machine] do its job.
14. You supply the washing machine with what's needed to get you clean clothes.

Section 2 of 4: Commentary on Thoughts

1. The meditation begins with wisdom and wealth.

a. Wisdom and Wealth.

b. Then immediately:

Washing machine.

c. The washing machine makes the relationship between wisdom and wealth simple.

d. A washing machine already has the built-in ability to accomplish its assignment.

e. I don't have to teach the washing machine how to wash clothes.

f. The machine already knows its job.

2. The washing machine has the wisdom to produce the desired outcome.

a. The washing machine has the wisdom to clean your clothes with the proper amount of water and detergent in the machine.

b. The machine has the capacity, but I still have a role.

c. I supply what is needed.

d. I supply the clothes and detergent, and the machine knows how to merge the detergent and water for a positive outcome—clean clothes.

e. I don't have to figure out every movement of water, detergent, and clothing inside the machine.

f. I supply what is required and allow the machine to do what it was designed to do.

3. Wisdom equals the washing machine.

a. Wisdom equals the washing machine.

b. Now the metaphor becomes clear.

c. Wisdom already knows how to produce the desired outcome.

d. My responsibility isn't to replace wisdom.

e. My responsibility is to supply wisdom with what is needed and cooperate with it.

4. Wealth equals clean clothes.

a. Wealth equals clean clothes.

b. Clean clothes aren't the washing machine.

c. Clean clothes are the output of the washing machine doing its job.

d. Likewise, within this metaphor, wealth isn't wisdom.

e. Wealth is an output of wisdom.

5. Wisdom knows how to do its job.

a. The washing machine [wisdom] knows how to do the job of washing clothes.

b. If wisdom knows how to do the job, I don't have to become wisdom's substitute.

c. I need to let wisdom work.

6. I have a job, and wisdom has a job.

a. Your job is to put the clothes and detergent in the washing machine and allow the washing machine to do its job.

b. I have a job.

c. Wisdom has a job.

d. Confusion comes when I try to do wisdom's job while neglecting mine.

e. I supply what is required.

f. Wisdom determines how the pieces come together.

7. Wealth is the output.

a. The washing machine output is clean clothes [wealth].

b. Wealth is an output.

c. If I focus only on getting clean clothes while ignoring the washing machine, I am focusing on the output instead of the wisdom capable of producing it.

d. The meditation redirects my attention from the output to the wisdom.

e. Let wisdom [washing machine] do its job.

8. The progression becomes clear.

a. Washing machine is wisdom.

b. Water and detergent are what wisdom needs to work with.

c. Clothes are what I bring to wisdom.

Desires of my heart are what I bring to wisdom for direction.

Resources are what I bring to wisdom for use.

Divine diligence is what I faithfully put before wisdom to work with.

d. My participation is supplying what is needed.

e. The washing process is wisdom doing its job.

f. Clean clothes are wealth, the resulting output.

g. The progression can be stated simply:

I supply. Wisdom does its job. Wealth is produced.

9. I participate without trying to do wisdom's job.

a. You supply the washing machine with what's needed to get you clean clothes.

b. The machine isn't responsible for putting the dirty clothes inside itself.

c. There is participation.

d. But participation doesn't mean I do the washing machine's job.

e. I supply. Wisdom does its job. Wealth is produced.

10. The statement I would circle is:

a. Let wisdom [washing machine] do its job.

b. That is the governing instruction of the meditation.

c. Wealth is an output of wisdom.

d. I don't have to pursue the output while ignoring the wisdom that produces it.

e. I supply what is needed and let wisdom do its job.

Let wisdom [washing machine] do its job.

Wisdom is the washing machine.

My participation is to supply what's needed.

Wealth is represented by clean clothes.

Clean clothes are the output of the washing machine.

I supply. Wisdom does its job. Wealth is produced.
